About the YES Learner (Merchandiser) Programme
The YES Learner (Merchandiser) programme is designed to provide practical workplace experience within Clover’s sales and merchandising environment. Learners will be placed at various Clover branches across South Africa and will work directly in retail stores, ensuring products are well presented, stocked, and available to customers.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Clover YES Learner (Merchandiser) programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
- Fluent in Business English
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Unemployed South African youth (as per YES Programme requirements)

Duties and Responsibilities
As a YES Learner (Merchandiser), your responsibilities will include:
Stock Control and Merchandising
- Controlling and ordering Clover stock accurately
- Preventing out-of-stock situations and reporting issues
- Managing returns according to company procedures
- Ensuring shelves are clean, neat, and fully stocked
- Applying correct shelf layouts and merchandising rules
Shelf and Equipment Management
- Packing shelves according to store flow and planograms
- Maintaining fridge standards and shelf labels
- Managing crates and equipment in line with company policy
- Ensuring point-of-sale material is correctly displayed
Administration and Relationships
- Completing relevant merchandising administration
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with store management, Area Managers, customers, and fellow merchandisers
- Identifying opportunities to improve product visibility in-store
