Minimum Qualifications

Experience required

  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or related field.
  • +- 3 years of relevant work experience in the Wholesale and Retail – Fashion sector would be advantageous.
  • Working experience in a head office centralized position that recruits for different levels of candidates across multiple professions and departments would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of South African Labor Laws: The successful candidate must be familiar with South African labor laws, regulations, and best practices related to recruitment. This includes understanding employment equity legislation and other relevant regulations.
  • Networking and Relationship-Building Experience: The successful candidate must have +- 3 years prior experience in building and maintaining relationships with external recruitment agencies, job boards, universities, and other talent sources.
  • Software Experience: Experience in SAGE 300 People would be advantageous.

Skills required

  • Communication Skills: The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate to build rapport with candidates and clients, conduct interviews, and negotiate job offers. It includes both verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: The successful candidate must possess the ability to interact positively and build relationships with candidates, clients, and colleagues.
  • Empathy: The successful candidate must have an excellent understanding of the needs and motivations of candidates and be able to provide guidance to stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
  • Problem-solving skills: The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate finding creative solutions and overcoming obstacles often faced in recruitment.
  • Time Management: Managing multiple tasks and deadlines to ensure a smooth recruitment process.
  • Adaptability: The successful candidate must be adaptable to a dynamic recruitment landscape, client requirements, and candidate preferences.
  • Attention to Detail: The successful candidate must have the skills to accurately assess candidate qualifications, document client requirements, and ensure compliance with recruitment processes and regulations within the department.
  • Negotiation Skills: Negotiating terms and conditions with candidates and clients, such as salaries, job offers, and contract terms is essential.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively in a team, and share information, to maintain successful recruitment outcomes.
  • Resilience: The successful candidate is expected to stay motivated, bounce back from setbacks, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Providing exceptional customer service to candidates and clients is essential.
