The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has published payment dates for March 2023.
As previously reported by SA People, in 2022 SASSA said it heard complaints from payees about the previous payment schedule and decided to make a change.
SASSA said that if the second day of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, payment is made the next business day. : SASSA Grant Payment Dates For 2023
Senior and employee allowances are paid first, followed by disability allowances and child allowances.
In March 2023, senior and related allowances will be paid on Thursday, March 2, followed by disability allowances on Friday, March 3, and child allowances and all others on Monday, March 6, according to the dates below : SASSA grant: R350 extended until March 2024
Seniors – Thursday, March 2nd
Disability Assistance – Friday, March 3rd
HelpforChildren – Monday, March 6th
Meanwhile, SASSA beneficiaries have been encouraged to continue using their Postbank-issued gold cards and to take advantage of multiple avenues to access their funds, including in retail outlets and at ATMs. :Authorised Officer Metropolitan Police Services Grade 12.
“Gold card welfare customers can continue to use the same card as long as it is valid wherever bank card transactions are accepted. Recipients can continue to collect their welfare payments from the South African Post Office (SAPO), except for those receiving the R350 (SRD) welfare assistance in need.
