Job Description:
Your responsibilities will include:
The repairing of equipment and informing relevant team members of defects noticed as well as reporting on spare parts and time needed to complete assigned tasks.
Understanding and advising on technical problems of the equipment and machinery while making sure that you have tested for functionality and safety before returned to production.
Ensure that material, spares and equipment are available as required
Completing job cards and description of work and spares used (PM’s)
This role is in the Engineering department at a C2 level reporting to the Section Engineer Production.
Qualifications:
1. Grade 10 or Technical Trade Specific N2 (Fitter Trade)
2. Certified Competent as Fitter
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Fitter (mining background advantageous)
Must be familiar with risk assessments procedures.
Additional information:
Must be able to do standby shifts and overtime
Valid Driver’s license – Code 08
