Job DescriptionCoca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our Manufacturing department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience for a QA Manager, which is based in CCBSA Lakeside. The successful candidate will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager for the plant. The primary role of the QA Manager is to lead the development and/or implementation of SHEQ standards for CCBSA, provide systemic and technical leadership for SHEQ within CCBSA and ensure compliance to CCBSA and TCCC SHEQ requirements and standards, support, owns and drive aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental
Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesKEY OUTPUTS
• Leads the implementation and sustainment of the Coca-Cola Company requirements, and the GSFI food safety systems
• Facilitate and ensure legal compliance to food, environmental and health and safety laws.
• Leads the implementation of and maintains Company accrediation to ISO 9001, 14000, FSSC 22000 and NOSA
• Develop and act as Custodian of Quality & Material Standards
• Ensures SHEQ Governance, Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Laboratory Practice standards are maintained in all facilities
• Participate in Integrated Audits, leading the SHEQ evaluation
• Improves Product and Package Quality through quality improvement programs and Quality Function Design
• Test and analyse borehole analytical and microbial results.
• Ensure a weekly CIP plan is communicated after reviewing of quality trends • ISO’s and legal requirements.
• Management of all service providers
• Ensure compliance to budget
• Leads quality improvements in alignment with CCBSA Manufacturing Strategic Intents
• Develops SHEQ Capability (Skills, Competence & Succession)
• Leads the implementation of Quality (Control) at Source and the development of the Quality Assurance function at Plant Level
• Custodian of the SHEQ Management System as the Business Process Leader • Establishes and manages the Process Validation System thereby managing change in a sustainable and risk controlled environment.
• Performs deep technical analysis and problem solving for complex SHEQ issues
• Manages Product Recall processes and leads the IMCR process for quality related issues
• Leads the Quality Equipment Strategy, together with the Quality Equipment capital budget
• Leads the CCBSA QA/QC function through the optimal resourcing of the laboratories and packaging lines, ensuring reliability and integrity of quality results and supporting of external customer and supplier relationships
• Develops and implements KPI’s and reporting systems and analyses the KPI’s to provide business insight
• Facilitate the implementation of SHEQ systems (ISO, OSH act, NOSA, PAS) and raise non-conformances
• Drive SHEQ Practices and Requirements in Production
• Put systems in place to meet and improve Water Use Ratio

Skills, Experience & Education• B.Sc. or BTech in Science or Technology – Micro/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred 3-5 Management Experience.
• Very strong communication skills from executive level through to shop floor • Ability to travel where needed
• Strong systemic and strategic thinking balanced with a practical realism
• Strong analytic skills and problem solving capability tempered with a bias for action
• Ability to influence others and build relationships in all levels of the organization
• Ability to train others in CCBSA SHEQ Processes and Management
• Deep understanding of SHEQ systems (SAMTRAC)
