SASSA Urges R350 Grant Beneficiaries To Collect Payments.

SASSA has given a deadline to previous beneficiaries of the R350 grant who have not yet collected their payments.

Applicants who were previously approved for the R350 grant now have until 31 August to collect their payments.

“Some approved applicants still need to collect their grants. Grants not collected by 31 August will be sent back to National Treasury to fund other government priorities.” SASSA explained.

Beneficiaries can contact SASSA by dialing 0800 6010 11 to confirm if there is any outstanding balance that needs to be collected.

This new deadline follows SASSA’s recent decision to reinstate the R350 grant, which will be in place until March 2022.

Under the new grant cycle, all applicants (new and old) are required to reapply, as SASSA will not be carrying over the details of applicants from the previous grant cycles.

“There will be no automatic reinstatement of the grant for anyone. You can confirm your details on the https://srd.sassa.gov.za website or through Whatsapp on 082 046 8553″ SASSA said.
