Reputable client of ours within the Food distribution Industry is looking for a General Worker to work as a Picker-Packer.  The role will be based at their Empangeni Warehouse.

Responsibilities:  

• Ensure that previous shift staff have left the bays clean, if not clean then clean before picking stock for same day orders.
• Picking stock for same day orders that need to be loaded in the morning.

• Once stock is picked take stock to cage
• to be hashed and checked by supervisors

• Loading of trucks
• Clean cages and floors and put away left over stock
• Assist packers to pack stock up until they clock out.
• Then the night shift staff does the picking at night for the following day orders.

Requirements

• Minimum of one-year exposure in a similar warehouse
• Minimum Matric
• Communication skills – ability to read and write in English.
• Basic Numerical Skills.
• Live in the area
• No criminal record

• High energy levels
• Disciplined and presentable
• Ability to work independently and be part of a team
• Must be able to work after hours at times
• Ability to coach employees to work more efficiently.
• Attention to detail with regards to stock movements.
